Asarum hypogynum Spit Shine Dry Shade Plants (aka: Lycoris x elsiae) WeAsarum 'Spit Shine' is our 2025 Plant Delights JLBG introduction of the little known, Taiwanese wild ginger, Asarum hypogynum. This amazing evergreen species produces huge 7" long, super shiny green foliage, and this clone has a lovely muted silver pattern in the middle of each leaf. This was propagated from an original 2008 division from a clump growing near an amusement park in Chiayi County, Taiwan at 5,800' elevation. It's performed beautifully
