Aspidistra lutea JLBG 12 09 Mai Chau Rostrinucula This 1961 deer-resistant introduction fromAspidistra lutea 'Mai Chau' is a 2024 Plant Delights JLBG introduction of a 2012 collection of the late Alan Galloway, who found it growing near the town of Mai Chau (west of Hanoi), in Vietnam's Hoa Binh province. Like Aspidistra zongbayi, it is a dwarf growing species with wide leaves that spread outward instead of upright. The cluster of small yellow flowers emerge from the leaf bases, starting for us in mid October. We think this is probably the
