Large Red Kiffa Bead rutilated quartz Could have been a headThis red triangular bead was made in Kiffa, Mauritania dating as far back as 1,000 years old. Historically, Kiffa beads are unique and employ ancient glass bead making techniques. This bead is around 200 years old, possibly older. 24mm tall x 16mm wide x 10mm thick with a small . 8mm hole.
